DreamCheaper raises one million Euro

Berlin-based DreamCheaper automatically books the cheapest hotel tariffs. According to the startup it has already booked for over 15,000 customers. Now, Holtzbrinck Ventures, Rocket Internet’s Global Founders Capital and three business angels invested one million Euro.

Berlin-based food startup Eating with the Chefs offers affordable high end dinners for at home. The startup launched by former StudiVZ CEO Clemens Riedl, Eatüber founder Chanyu Xu and Jochen Wolf now announces a seven-digit amount investment from Holtzbrinck and Peter Thiel’s Founders Fund.

Zalando builds new campus

Berlin-based online fashion retailer Zalando will build a new campus for 5,000 employees. The office will be located between the Ostbahnhof and Warschauerstraße.

ProSiebenSat.1 adds media budget to its accelerator offer

ProSiebenSat.1 announces to hand out €500,000 media budget to each startup of its new badge. In this – the sixth – round the accelerator works on the TV spots of the startups while they take part in the accelerator program. That being that, it focusses on customer targeting startups.

German supermarket chain Lidl acquires Kochzauber

Just recently, cooking box Kochzauber informed it is shutting down its business by the end of this year. Now, German supermarket chain Lidl acquires the Berlin-based startup. However, as a brand Kochzauber will remain independent and will not mail out Lidl’s products. Details of deal remain undisclosed.

$5 million for Test IO

Test IO (formerly Testcloud) offers a self-service crowdtesting platform. Today, the Berlin-based startup announces it has raised a $5 million Series A round from San Francisco-based Turn/River Capital. The fresh cash will be used to launch in the U.S. and setting up operation in San Francisco as well as accelerate growth.

Gamewheel raises €1 million

Having closed the €1 million round in summer, marketing platform Gamewheel now announces business angels and Crown Ocean Capital took part in the deal.

Rocket Internet-based food delivery on-demand service Foodpanda announces a new services: Since 25% of its order come from company addresses, Foodpanda now offers a solution for business clients that lets them order food for e.g. their staff or team events.

Number26 adds overdraft feature

Berlin-based fintech startup Number26 announces a new feature. As TechCrunch report, depending on user’s accounting history, Number26 gives an overdraft level up to €2,000.
