Six-digit figure for Gegessen wird immer

Berlin-based food/grocery startup Gegessen wird immer announces a six-digit figure investment which comes from existing investor WIMEX Gruppe from Bavaria. The startup was founded in May 2015 and sells high quality food products. The investment will be used for business development and to hire new staff.

Mambu raises €8 million

Mambu, the SaaS banking platform, has raised a further €8 million in funding. The round was led by Acton Capital Partners and CommerzVentures, with participation from existing investors. The additional capital will be used to expand its commercial team, invest in the platform and to open new offices in Asia and America.

Rocket Internet’s EasyTaxi exits Asia

Rocket Internet’s MyTaxi version EasyTaxi exited Asia in order to focus on South America’s market. Looking at its recent moves that is not too surprising, TechCrunch explains: In December 2014 the company left India, in January it exited Taiwan, in February Hong Kong and in September it shut down business in Singapore.

Seven-digit figure for car sharing app CarJump

Different from e.g. Car2Go and DriveNow, Berlin-based CarJump doesn’t offer its own car sharing platform but unites the offer of many already known services. Now, GHM Mobile Development GmbH, the company behind CarJump, announces a new investment: a seven-digit figure came from UnternehmerTUM, Axel Springer Digital Ventures and Zimmermann Investments.

Berlin-based Mysportsgroup is the name behind the sportsarticle online shop Vaola and will stay independent after it got acquired by Mannheim-based 21sportsgroup. Details of the deal stay undisclosed.

Leinentausch had to file for bankruptcy

Berlin-based Leinentausch had to file for bankruptcy shortly before Christmas. According to rumors, different opinions between the team and an existing investor towards the investment and growth strategy led to it. Leinentausch connects dogs owner and dog sitters. The founders declined to comment.

Berlin-based Medigo announces another funding round: After it has raised €5.5 million in December 2014, it announces a $3.5 million investment, that –according to the startup– is an add-on to the old Series A round. CL Global Healthcare is one of the investor of the medical tourism startup.
