Neighbour network: Nebenan.de
Actually a no-brainer and also not the only one on the market, Berlin-based Nebenan.de (German for something like: ‘Around the corner’) connects neighbourhoods. Just like its competitor wirnachbarn (German for: we neighbours), it is like a Facebook for the people who live around you. You can post that you need a babysitter, an apartment, that you need to borrow a hammer or want to give away/sell a sofa. Simple but useful, a startup called Nextdoor started the same approach in San Francisco 2011.
Restaurant recommendation: Foodguide
Hamburg-based startup Foodguide joins the food recommendation market. Similar to Foursquare and Yelp people can find restaurant recommendations based on their preferences. However, Foodguide chooses pictures over words and lets people upload photos, name the restaurant, the dish, and the price. Aside from that, Foodguide made special deals for its users with companies such as Deliveroo.
Mailing service: Shipings
Munich-based Shipings takes care of shipping your mail. For €5 the service picks up your item, wraps it, and mails it with the cheapest solution available. To calculate a price you have send a picture upfront. Depending on the item, the €5 service cost can be very cheap, especially when considering cost of wrapping and the time to bring it to a post office or another delivery service.

Important: The company has to be based in Germany and work on a digital product.
