After selling the company to the German publishing house ProSiebenSat.1 last year, the founders Paul Schwarzenholz and Björn Kolbmüller leave Flaconi, a platform that sells beauty products online. However, the two say they are already working on a new idea that deals with customer satisfaction.

Court rules in Airbnb’s favor in Berlin

Berlin passed a ban on renting one’s entire apartment to tourists through platforms such as Airbnb. Reason for it was the concern about limited available housing space and the affect that has on rising rental prices. However, a court ruling now opened a possibility for those who only have their second homes in Berlin. Means: Those who primarily live elsewhere than in Berlin can rent their space while being gone.

Mozilla invests in Cliqz

Cliqz is an anti-tracking browser build-in quick search feature. The company states that it has over 1 million active desktop and mobile users for it Firefox-based browser in German-speaking countries. Now, no one less than Mozilla invested in the Munich-based company. While the amount stays undisclosed, both companies shared its a strategic minority investment. The plan is to expand – details to that, however, have also not been disclosed.

Movinga’s case is closed

Investigations have been going on again Movinga. The reason: suspicion on falsification of documents. After the issue first arose in May, the two founders left the company in June, after shutting down business in three markets and laying off about 200 people. However, now the investigation proofed the founders’ innocence.
