Not exactly Germany-based, but right next door: Switzerland-based moving startup Movu raises a seven-digit figure. Besides others Swiss national goal keeper Yann Sommer, Ringier Digital Ventures, b-to-v and Go Beyond participated as well.
Joiz Germany shuts down
The German Online TV station Joiz is shut down by its new investor. At least until Christmas, the cameras stand still. The idea is to rethink the concept and make it more profitable. On Friday, a two hour long episode will show the best moments of the channel’s three years existance.
SAP invests in startups
Germany’s largest software company SAP wants to spend a whole lot more on startups, CEP Nino Marakovic mentioned towards the newspaper Handelsblatt. Therefor, SAP raised its $1 billion investment up to $2.4 billion in its holding company Saphhire Ventures. SAP will focus on software that can either be relevant to the company itself or its clients.
Fairr.de raises from IBB and Transamerica Ventures
Berlin-based Fairr.de raised an unknown figure from IBB and Transamerica Ventures. With the startup’s website, people can close a Riester contract, a retirement plan known in Germany. With cutting progression costs, the startups offers its solution cheaper than banks.
Klara raises $3 million
Berlin- and New York-based medtech startup Klara raises $3 million from Project A Ventures and Lerer Hippeau Ventures and existing investors. The startup is working on a instant messenger solution for doctors and patients.
