Helpling closes CleanAgents after aquisition
Berlin-based CleanAgents is a cleaning agent platform, which got acquired by Rocket Internet-backed Helpling. Now, Helpling will close the brand to foucs on its own one. Also, it wants to open up to further services like for example gardening services.
Dubsmash raises Series B round
The Berlin-based startup Dubsmash announced a Series B round Wednesday. The lip-syncing video app raised about €9 million with Sunstone Capital, who led the round. Index Ventures, Balderton Capital, Eniac Venture, and Lowercase Capital also participated. The startup said it plans to restructure the company and lay off seven people.
Clue closes €20 million round
The Berlin-based menstrual cycle app Clue announced a large funding round Wednesday: A $20 million Series B round, led by Nokia Growth Partners. Participants also included Union Square Ventures, Mosaic Ventures, Brigitte Mohn and Christophe Maire. Giving Wings and Fabrice joined as new investors in the round.
Onlineprinters raises seven-digit figure
Onlineprinters, a Berlin-based online printing startup, reported raising a seven-digit amount on Tuesday. The investment came from Project A Ventures, an operational VC that is also based in Berlin. Onlineprinters lets clients order print products through web shops by uploading their data and adding their preferences, like size and color. The startup claims to be a European leader in this field and plans to use the investment to expand operations.
Silicon Valley-based VC invests in Silexica
Working on their software for eight years paid of for Silexica, a German multicore software design startup. The startup announced Tuesday that they caught the attention of Mercus Captial, a VC founded by three former Google and Microsoft employees. Mercus Capital, in participation with Paua Ventures, Seed-Fonds Aachen and DSA’s venture firm, will invest $8 million in Silexica. An example of the startup’s products is a software tool to increase program speed, while making them more energy efficient.
