HelloFresh raises €85 million

The Berlin-based food box startup HelloFresh announced a new funding round Tuesday: €85 million (88.2 million USD) total came predominantly from a new investor, who wishes to stay anonymous, and the Scottish Baillie Gifford fund. HelloFresh is one of Rocket Internet’s most successful startups and many hope the startup will become the next Zalando.

AskCharlie receives seven-digit investment

The venture capital arm of Check24, a platform that allows for price comparisons, announced its first seven-digit investment in the startup AskCharlie Tuesday. AskCharlie, a platform which helps individuals find services such as music teachers, personal trainers and photographers, was first established in October 2016.

Auto1 raises Series E

Quiet but successful is how you could describe Auto1, a platform which evaluates your used car and sells it to traders. After having raised $100 million last year, it has now raised a Series E round from new investors such as Target Global and Baillie Gifford. The startup decided not to share any further information about this round.

Volders raises €1.7 million

The subscription overview app Volders has raised €1.5 million from Home24 co-founder Felix Jahn and Lieferando co-founder Kai Hansen. The startup lets you overview contracts such as for your gym, your electricity or your cell phone. Differently to well known Aboalarm, users also get new contract offers.
