DCMN acquires Realzeit
The Berlin-based mobile marketing and advertising startup Realzeit was acquired by the German media company DCMN, both parties announced Thursday. The founders, as well as five out of six employees, will now be part of DCMN. DCMN paid a seven-digit amount for the 3-year-old startup.

Dedrone raises $15 million
Dedrone, a startup that moved from Kassel to San Francisco, raised $15 million in a new round, after making headlines just last month for a similarly impressive round. The startup, which secures buildings from drones using a variety of sensors recently announced the Series B round, which was led by ex-Cisco CEO John Chambers and Felicis Ventures, a VC firm based in Silicon Valley. Existing investors, Target Partners and Menlo Ventures, participated in this round as well, which brought the overall investment to $28 million.
Cliqz acquires Ghostery
The Munich-based browser Cliqz acquired Ghostery, a popular browser extension, which offers a software to block tracking. Burda, a media house, holds the majority of Cliqz, whereas Firefox has a smaller stake in the startup. In the future, it is planned for the two technologies to merge. All parties involved declined to share the price tag of the acquisition.
6 million euros for Modomoto
The Berlin-based e-commerce startup Modomoto announced its first large funding round: €6 million euros. Most of the round – approximately 5 million euros – came from Auden AG, who now holds 10 per cent of the male-shopping startup’s shares. The investment will help the 5-year-old company expand into new countries. Which countries, however, were not shared publicly.
