What’s happening in Agile Wonderland? The former “wild child” of startups and innovation labs is still triggering disruption. However, but no longer by generating creative boosters for projects but more often by throwing a spanner in the works of decision-making processes, of team structures and of the day-to-day project life. Agile organizations are said to enable innovation, collaboration and impact. Yet, many of us are struggling with the practical part of this transformation. Was it all a dream? Does the “wild child” really have to grow up and if so, how exactly? Or is it just a growing pain we have to withstand on the way to a brave new work world full of engaged employees, trustful servant leaders and prosperous business endeavours? What’s the alternative? Going back to a classical hierarchy, where every employee tends to rise to his level of incompetence?
