Hamburg’s YieldKit ready for global roll-out – Tim Schumacher, HackFwd inject $750,000 Written by Charmaine Li on 21. November 2012


Today YieldKit, a Hamburg-based affiliate marketing tool, secured $750,000 in Series A funding to focus on company growth and international expansion. The investment comes from Sedo Founder Tim Schumacher, who recently joined as an investor, and Lars Hinrichs of HackFwd.
YieldKit’s service is free and strives to make it easier for publishers to monetise content by converting product links and keywords into affiliate links automatically. Similar services, such as Skimlinks and VigLink have already enjoyed successes in the the UK and US respectively.
The tool works with all types of content-generating websites such as blogs, forums , social networks, news sites and portals. Immediately after signing up, publishers will get access to more than 10,000 advertisers in Germany and the rest of the world.
Funding will go to the development of new products, strengthening market leadership in German-speaking countries and international roll-out. The company said that in the last 6 months, YieldKit has gained a month over month revenue growth on average of more than 50 percent due to significant product releases and large publishers signing on.
“Our vision is to enable publishers switching from annoying advertising to a value-added strategy enabling a relevant and better advertising model that earns publishers more revenue,” said Schumacher.
